Cute Black Oxfords
I'm so happy with these patent leather oxfords! I've been waiting and watching for a good sale on some oxfords. I have a pair, but they are pitiful! So when I found these I quickly grabbed them up and donated my others. They have a little bit of a flatform to them so they are super comfy.

All Cozy!
I had to quickly run to the mall to grab some Bath & Body Works 3-wick candles that were on sale for $10.25 each - that's a good deal! I wore everything cozy. Cozy sweatshirt, fleece lined leggings and sherpa lined boots!!!

Instagram Outfit 01.12.19 Details and Links
I picked up this long sleeve tunic with cute little elbow patches from Amazon over Christmas for $19.99. It's actually a pretty good top so I wanted to share.
I've got a video review over on Instagram. It comes in 7 colors with one of them being white with no elbow patches. I do recommend sizing up if you like your tunic tops to be on the longer side.
I love the light red color. And the green! And the white!
The leggings are from H&M and the boots were a gift from my mom a few years ago from Sears and well, Sears is no more. Make sure your leggings are always on the thicker side and are NOT see through! I think a pair of tall brown riding boots would look great with this outfit. Or a short black heeled ankle boot for a sleek look.

Easing into Fall with...Versona
I am teaming up with Versona to highlight their Fall Look Book and to show you what I selected from my local Versona store to ease into the fall season!
After searching the store and having to make some really hard decisions, I finally when with this very soft and super cute striped tunic top.
Versona also sent me those beautifully earrings that I plan on styling up soon! I have a fun little idea for how to showcase them so I'll be back with that post!
Stripes or tunics may not be your thing so I snapped a couple of quick photos of items that caught my eye while I was browsing at my local Versona store.
This little number caught my eye because I love the color and the texture. It is a soft velvet and reminds me of something Courtney Love would've rocked in the 90s with a flannel shirt.
Now, this is THAT fall skirt that you can pair with tons of sweaters for the fall. I mean, come on. It screams FALL. It has a cute little 60s vibe too.
I'm always looking for items with a little bit of an edge to them. I really like these skinny jeans with the cool zipper detail. And that cropped sweater right next to it is perfect. Walk in, grab these two things, and walk out with a sweet little outfit. Just don't forget to pay for them :)
I think this is a pretty sexy outfit. Would look great for a business casual office party. I'm a sucker for a high waisted pant since I'm a shorty. Pair these with a platform high heel and your legs will look a mile long!
Jewels, laces, and more textures.
Bodysuits! I was so glad to see some affordable body suits in the store. I love these things and I wish they would have never went away. I had at least 3 of them back in high school. I loved never having to fight over getting a shirt to stay tucked into a skirt or pants.
OK! A few more snaps of the top that I went home with!
It has a hood and cute camel colored elbow pads. You know me - I love a great basic and I love attention to detail. The hood and the patches had me sold! I can dress it up or I can keep it casual.
Burgundy or maroon - whatever you want to call it - is still a hot color for fall. I added a pop of color with my earrings and lipstick. But I am feeling the urge to add some burgundy pieces in to my fall wardrobe!

My New Fave Girl
Man I LOVE it when I find a super special piece at the consignment shop that I just can't wait to wear! This blue tunic was a real score. I love the punk rock aspect with the tears and grommets. Yes! Not that you're going to see me in the middle of the mosh pit (do those even exist anymore?) any time soon, but I do love a rad outfit!

A Sleeveless Kind of Summer Girl
It's a hot one today folks! I don't think I've worn sleeves all week. I'm not complaining! It's not 3 feet of snow so I sure ain't complaining.
I picked this dress up at the free yard sale I go on and on about every year. I just wore it this one time. I ended up taking it over to my favorite consignment shop. I just kind of fell out of love with it. I mean, let's face it. It's suppose to be a dress and I had to wear it as a tunic. So I faced reality and sold it! But it was still too cute to not wear once.

This would've been a good green outfit for St. Patrick's Day. I didn't engage in any festivities on Monday. It's mostly about drinking green beer and I can't do that anymore! I'm trying to watch my carb intake so no Shepard's pie for me either. Especially after the terrible food I gorged on this weekend. Sigh. I started this week off feeling very, I don't know the word for it, so I guess just blue. I think I am just lacking some energy. I stayed up way too late on Friday night and Saturday night causing me to sleep in the next morning. Which just gets me all out of whack when I have to wake up at 5:45 on Monday. Yuck. Of course I ate way too recklessly - a.k.a. bad food! That never helps my energy level. Friday night we had Mexican food. Saturday morning was a Nutella and strawberry crepe (my first crepe ever). Saturday afternoon was fish and chips....followed by pizza! WHAT?! I wish I would've stopped on Sunday but I didn't. I had a greasy spoon cheeseburger and then tacos for dinner. See? I told you. A sheer disaster. I think this is contributing to my feeling a bit blah. A bit disappointed in myself. Not that it didn't all taste fantastic going down! But, I should've stopped somewhere around Saturday afternoon. I am a firm believer in a cheat meal or a reward day. But with my addictive personality, it soon turns into a bender weekend. I might need to pick up a chip at Celebrate Recovery for food bender weekends and really get committed on stopping the cycle.
I know if I would exercise I would feel much better. I know this....if I would just "do" this...

Patience Tested Girl
Top/Tunic/Dress for skinny people?: Thrifted Levi's, Leggings: Walmart, Boots: Steve Madden, Necklace: Modcloth
I failed the patience test. My mom, my niece and my son and I were all at an indoor play-land thingie here in town on Monday. We found some seats, put our stuff down, played, got some coffee and just did our thing. I got up to go speak to the owner who my mom knew and while I was speaking to him I noticed two ladies had sat down in our chairs. I came back over and saw my pocketbook in the floor and my coffee and Riley's juice box still on the end table in between the two chairs. I said "wow, you moved my stuff!" They didn't say anything at first but I said "you know we were sitting here". I really was just in disbelief at how nonchalant they were at how rude it was that they stole our chairs. They proceeded to argue about how I wasn't sitting in it and that other people need to sit down. I tried to "reason" with them. They told me to go away, to get out of there. I'm like WHAT? I.was.sitting.there. My pocketbook was in the chair that your butt is in right now. I just got up no more than 30 seconds ago.
Oh well. Needless to say it got to me and it has gotten to me since it happened (Monday). I just don't understand. And I don't understand how it ended up my fault either that I deserved to have my things moved and my chair stolen. Is this 2nd grade or are we adults that ask permission before we take over? Evidently it is a free for all and we are all in it for ourselves. Disappointing! We left about 15 minutes after all that went down. I've thought about those ladies a lot since it happened. What I wished I would've said...the awesome insults I have mentally lined up...but I'm glad I got away from them and out of there before I said any of them. I cannot (and do not want to) become what they are.

Black, White & Silver Girl
Tunic: NY&CO, Sweater: Thrifted, Leggings & Sandals: Target, Bag: Charming Charlie's
I am closing in on my one year and two months sober anniversary. I was on my way to my class/meeting and snapped a few photos beforehand. I always look forward to my weekly meetings and twelve step program progress. I am hesitant because the questions are revealing but really ready to dive deeper into finding out the answer to the question of "who am I"? It gets a little intense during the group time and even when I go in thinking I don't have a whole lot to give that night, I end up coming out being blessed by something that another lady has shared through her recovery. It's always a blessing. It really is.
I'm looking forward to getting started on some volunteer work at my son's school. It's just the second week of school so once things get rolling I have a feeling I might get a little busy. But that's ok. I want to be involved and I want to be in on the inner workings of the school. I feel so disconnected to it right now and I actually have a very hard time getting through to the administration if I have a question or need advice. So I am hoping that being more involved can get me more answers to my questions and in a much faster way. We'll see.
I tried going curly with my hair with this outfit. I started with slightly damp hair and twisted and wrapped about 5 sections of my hair into little buns. It looked almost just like this. I liked the end result - but this is about my 4th rodeo with no heat curls so I've learned a few tricks. If you use small sections of hair and have lots of little buns, you'll get super kinky curls. The bigger the sections with less buns, the bigger the curls. I don't like to wrap them and sleep on them because that's just TOO much curl for me. So I just left them on for a few hours after the shower but before I had to get ready.
Have a wonderful weekend!
