High Rise Skinnies Girl

I grabbed these Universal Thread High Rise Skinny jeans at Target a few weeks ago and I love them. They are very soft and comfy and have a good amount of stretch. I did have to size down so they wouldn't try to "slide down" by the end of the day. I paired them up with a good graphic tee and some cute sneakers for a easy casual look.

Game Girl

We're a football family! 

I've pulled for the Carolina Panthers every since they became a team and so has my husband. He loves the Oakland Raiders too. He can remember his dad having the Raiders game on and he jumped right in the excitement and started pulling for them too. Good memories :)

I can't say that I love basketball. Sorry! Baseball, no. Soccer; sure. Definitely when my son plays it! I like watching the Olympics and live hockey. Other than that...I guess I'm just a football girl!

Spring Break Girl

We're officially on Spring Break this week. I'm scheduling play dates and finding my son and I some fun things to do while he's out of school. What I'm really enjoying is just the slower pace of the week. Especially the evenings. No scrambling to get homework done, dinner done, bath done all in the span of a few hours! It's nice to have the break. Now if it will just warm up a little bit so we won't freeze when we go outside! 

Which brings me to this outfit. It isn't really a full on spring-y type outfit. I still need to wear something to cover my arm because of the chilly breeze. So I'm just mixing and matching to get me through the transition from winter breezes to springtime sunshine!

Pink and Gray Girl

I picked up this soft striped sweatshirt at Etc Consignment one day when I cashed in my balance on my account.  I love trading in clothes that I've grown tired of into new and fun pieces. At this particular consignment shop you get 10% off your purchase that same day if you spend the money you've made. Win win! I only had $20 something bucks on my account and I walked out with like 4 new tops. I know I have a tendency to wear a lot of black and white and gray too, yes, but the fuchsia color was just what I was looking for to bring a little brightness into my winter wardrobe. It's not quite as long as a full blown tunic so I did pair it with a thicker pair of pants instead of leggings. Although if you had some jeggings with back pockets those would work too. 

I added some fuchsia lipstick and over the top earrings to pull it all together. It dressed up the sweatshirt just enough!

I love these pants. They are lightweight enough to wear during the hotter months but transition well into the fall too. I decided on a gray + camel combo today!

Ruffle Girl

Well helloooo! Long time no see! The summer months are not my best blogging months. School's out and my son and I are on the go all the time. And when we're not, I'm getting housework done, taking hikes, we're making homemade ice cream and donuts or we are just too tired to do anything! 

Nevertheless I do still get dressed everyday! It's just a lot of this same outfit. Leggings and a long top, shorts and hiking boots, or something really boring. I did go out to dinner with my husband and some couples he knows through his work so it gave me a chance to get a little bit more gussied up!

I love this little top! The ruffle is adorable and the back of the shirt is the best! The other best part is that I got it at the Goodwill for $3.75!

Long Time Coming Girl

I have desperately needed a haircut for a very, very long time. And I finally made it happen! I know you're thinking..."You got a haircut? It looks the SAME". Well, you're right. I only got a trim. I am letting the layers grow out and I am keeping it as long as I can without it looking unhealthy. I will be a long haired gal for a while more. I figure when I get into my golden years - whenever that may be - I'll go short then. Plus I went through a short hair phase in my mid twenties and loved it but it was hard to maintain. My hair is so thick. For my hair a short bob requires a lot of taming. 

Here's a close up of my cut in case you're like me and gather lots of hairstyle inspiration on Pinterest! I have long layers which are just slightly above the very bottom. It is cut in a v-shape so it is slightly shorter in the front, A v-cut is my favorite. A blunt cut just does not look attractive on me. I do have old highlights that are growing out. Which would be perfect for some MORE highlights on the end in an ombre! But I would be so late to the ombre game. My bangs have grown out! Wooooo! After blow drying she curled it with a large barrel curling iron and used hair spray.

Under the Weather Girl

We just got back from a weekend camping trip in Memphis...more on that soon....and I was sick the whole time. But I didn't let it stop me! I just kept right on truckin. I am taking it easy today though. Trying to shed the last bit of this cold. These photos are back when I wasn't sporting a red, raw nose!
