This was a project the kids at church did one Sunday morning but my son was with his dad that day so he missed out. I decided to give google a try and see if I could find it. I found this DIY link and decided Riley and I could do this from things we could find around the house. It turned out great. It is very inspirational to look at when I'm passing by - makes me remember what Easter is all about. He is Risen!

Saturday Success Girl
Last Saturday was pretty busy. This week is too because here it is Thursday and I'm finally getting around to talking about last Saturday!! I had a crazy idea that I just might find a wedding dress here in town which would be a dream so I could try it on instead of keeping my fingers crossed with etsy or ebay. AND I DID!! Here's some footage on what turned out to be a very successful Saturday
The sun felt soooo good
delicious sammies to go with our fizzy drinks
After some Christian bookstore shopping and one vintage shop down with no luck, we stopped for lunch at a deli where we could sit outside.
The sun felt soooo good
delicious sammies to go with our fizzy drinks
After lunch we headed to one last vintage shop that I knew had a really large selection. I was just about ready to give up on finding a dress until I spotted something light pink with white crochet. I pulled it off the rack it was jammed onto and immediately I knew this had serious potential. I tried it on and it was a bit more form fitting than I thought. I still liked it because of it's beauty, color and the fact that I was getting to try it on! Brian really liked it and I was falling in love with it so I decided to get it. Sneak Peek!
We drove out to my cousins house for a Scentsy party (which is scented wax that you burn in warmers instead of lighting a candle) and a cookout that later turned into just ordering Mexican!
One of Emily's pretty warmers:
A fresh spring scent that I can't wait to melt in the warmer I won!!! YAY!!
Pretty violets in her yard that will be extinct the next time the mower comes out:
See! I told ya!

Really Old Navy? Really?
I don't know why Old Navy is doing this to me. Their selection this season is spot on. Thanks a lot. I'm on a shopping ban so... great.
If someone wanted to walk into Old Navy and buy me something, this would be what they could chose from. Boy! Aren't I just the little brat?!
OR! They could choose from any of these fine dresses. I won't be picky. I mean, not that picky.
Just look at that yellow dress. I mean COME ON! Why does Old Navy kick it up a billion notches the ONE year I decide not to buy anything for what seems like a decade?

Friday Night Girl
Blouse: Modcloth, Jeans: Family Dollar, Necklace: Charlotte Russe
Friday night Brian and I met after work at my favorite brewery in town. The weird
thing is that it is my favorite but I have only been there three times
in my life. Anyway, here's a little footage:
a food truck with tasty spanish food, Italian twinkle lights, funky cornhole and a makeshift movie screen
There was a crazy amount of pigeons. I'm guessing for the amount of cracked peanut shells. But isn't an owl to keep away mice?
scary sculpture...maybe a hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil?
See ya next time Wedge!

The Bag of Many Colors Girl
Dress: Modcloth, Shoes: Target. Bag: Vintage
I reach for this bag so many times because it goes with so many things! It's a little rag tag but I love it. It's the perfect size too.
I love this pretty little tree. It's right outside my son's window. There is a little birds nest on one branch that has been there since we moved in. I believe the first year we were here there was a family in there. But no one has been back since. I keep my fingers crossed that a lovely little bird will move back in soon!
photos by me and Brian. Thanks sweets!

Inspired Girl
Blouse: Target, the rest is thrifted history!
I really think that all I'm lacking here is a shoulder or quarter sleeve tattoo. I know, I know but it's been on my mind lately. Every time I get dressed, I think "how would this look with a shoulder tattoo?" I always have to wear a cardigan at work because it is freezing. I really don't go to fancy pants parties or anything so I don't really see when it would get in the way. Besides giving my mom a heart attack. At any rate, I'm feeling very rockabilly inspired!
And what I liked to call "my cantaloupe nails"
