Your Ugly Leather Pants?

Blouse: Thrifted, Pants: h&m, Boots: Madden Girl, Bag: Coach

Do you watch Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? If you do, then you know what Sutton said about Crystal's UGLY LEATHER PANTS!!! LOL. Crystal's were real leather and probably lord knows how much. Mine are FAUX and around $40ish. Sutton probably would still say they are ugly.

Feather Print Girl

This black and white feather print skirt is one of my most favorite purchases. I got it last year in the summer time. I wore it with a loose black tank top and strappy black bralette. I love the cut and how it is a little bit shorter on the sides. It's really a summer skirt but I'm all about using summer skirts in the winter if the fabric is right. If it is too summery then no but this skirt works perfectly.  Of course, more black and white! When it works; it works!

Slushy Slush Girl

And enter in the slushy junk that is left behind by the big snow storm! YAY! It's always 3 or 4 days of making sure I wear shoes that can put up with nasty, white, salty, slush on them. I love this outfit except for the shoes! Since I don't need to hike though 10 inches of snow (like last Sunday), I chose not to wear my Sorels but still needed something waterproof and safe. I also wanted to show off these cute little black and white camp socks that I steal from my hubby pretty much every other day! That left this pair of brown hiking boots and my LL Bean Hunting boots, which are navy. I went with the hiking boots because I really wasn't feeling adding navy to this outfit. They serve their purpose well as hiking boots but I kinda wish they were black for this outfit. I know, I know, I should really only be caring whether or not they grip the ground well enough to keep me from slipping. That's why I'm not wearing any of my slick soled black boots. Buuuuttttt....it would look better with something like this:

Another thing to go on my wishlist!

French Words Girl

Like my frawnch tee shirt? I didn't know what the heck it meant at the time I bought it but the colors, the length and the fabric was perfect so it came home with me. Now I know that it in English it translates to "Young and Beautiful" which is so silly! Ah well.

Spring Neutrals Girl

I am finally able to enjoy some of my lighter weight pants and shoes without socks this week! Wow! Spring is here! All of my flowering trees in the yard are in full bloom. I went to Lowe's over the weekend and got lots of lovely little blooming plants. It makes me so happy to see them when I drive up or look out my kitchen window. Ahhh...this is my time of year.

I love this outfit that I pulled together from h&m recently. It's a really bad thing - or a really good thing - that I now have an h&m just a few miles from my house. Uh oh.

Fall Trends {Joggers}

Boy am I a lover of these sweatpants disguised as style trouser type things called Joggers! I've featured them on here before but know I am seeing them everywhere even down to Old Navy. Which means they are super budget friendly. I am not seeing them in the thrift stores that much but the consignment shops are showcasing them. I did find one pair of mine for $7 at a local shop.

So...comfy, stylish and affordable all at the same time? I cannot ask for more. I love how you can wear them with flats and they can come off as sporty chic. Heels, of course, are always a good companion for a slouchy pant because it can make the outfit look dressier in a flash. Wow. Wearing my pajamas out of the house. Thank you fashion gods.

Really Loving...Neutrals

Oh man oh man I am really ready for spring this year. But who isn't? The polar vortex will do that to you I guess. I was talking with a friend and she mentioned that last summer we had a lot of rain. We had a bitter winter and a soggy last summer. I think we are all ready for those windows in the house to be open with fragrant cross breezes. I love it when my hydrangea starts to bloom and I can bring those beautiful bright blue blooms inside. Ahhhh..... In the meantime, let's get ready for the trends that are hitting for this upcoming season: Neutrals! Off whites, pale palettes and soft colors. I love this. Let's shed the black harshness and welcome the breezy whites. I am a sucker for simple, polished outfits that seem effortless. Something new (and will continue) is that I have included some plus size options in the selections below as well!

1. A basic neutral dress is a blank canvas. It is clean, polished and chic.

2. Let's face it. Basics, like blazers, never go out of style. This year choose a lighter shade.

4. A neutral shoe can work miracles! With a pale shoe, you look a little taller because there is no harsh stop at the bottom of your body like with a dark shoe.
