Spring Neutrals Girl
I am finally able to enjoy some of my lighter weight pants and shoes without socks this week! Wow! Spring is here! All of my flowering trees in the yard are in full bloom. I went to Lowe's over the weekend and got lots of lovely little blooming plants. It makes me so happy to see them when I drive up or look out my kitchen window. Ahhh...this is my time of year.
I love this outfit that I pulled together from h&m recently. It's a really bad thing - or a really good thing - that I now have an h&m just a few miles from my house. Uh oh.

Daily Style: Tall Boots Girl
Let me tell you, there is nowhere you can go that you don't see tall boots on ladies feet. It's crazy! Is it just me or has there been a tall boot explosion just in the last year? Maybe it's just the Clemson football games I go to that make me feel that way. Maybe it's just that you see grandmothers wearing them these days too. With all that being said it doesn't bother me enough to make me toss mine in the donate pile! No way! I rarely stay on top of trends to be "the only" one wearing something. I do love an ankle boot too which seems to be a bit more underground still. Mark my word I will NOT be one of those gals that expose my ankles when it is 30 degrees outside unless it's a crazy rare moment that I get to go to a fancy party. So that leaves...boots!
Also, Happy New Year! I hope you all had a fabulous time! I went to bed about 11:15pm. It was as far as I could go. I tried! But my son had a friend over for a sleepover and I knew they would be up early. They are only seven years old so sleeping in is not a thing yet. In other news, I think I will try out a few new things around here on the blog to freshen things up. I have no concrete plans but I like introducing new posts with a picture and words - like I did right up there. What do ya think? Maybe have some more written posts with what I'm doing/thinking/not doing/not thinking...I don't know. I do have a bit of the new year buzz. I hope you like the changes! I will still keep the "Girl" part of each post title because...hey...I am one girl right?

For the Love of Boots
Y'all I don't know what to tell you other than I need therapy for how much I love boots. Tall boots, ankle boots, heeled boots, cowgirl boots. Sheesh. I can't help it. The rich colors and rustic feel just gets me every time. Makes me want to crunch the leaves under my feet and drink hot cider. Whoa! Hold me back!
Here's a few of my favorites I have fallen in love with while window shopping. I included a beautiful deep green pair for my sweet friend that is in the market for a pair! Links are down below if you need the deets.

slip ons
As usual I'm a little late in the game with actually getting fully on board with a trend. I think I let it sink in for a bit and see what other ladies are doing with it before I go full steam ahead. I'm not a trendsetter that's for sure. But after seeing the slip on's make there way across the blogs I have ended up really liking them.
I've got a little trip coming up soon that I have to do some walking and I wanted to stay stylish but comfortable. I think one of these will be the winner!

Preparing for Spring Girl
Yesterday was so beautiful! Today is as well! I have the front door open and I am so excited.
I'll be back later with a product review for Kiss Nail products! I can't believe I liked the press on manicure!
I cut a few inches off of my hair to get a fresher look. It really needed it. I go in a few weeks for some highlights. I can't keep up with pulling out the little gray hairs anymore! Gonna just try to hide them at this point. I think I am going for growing out my layers for a little bit. I think when I cut it earlier this week I ended up trimming the top layer a bit too much. I feel it is a little to fluffy on the top. As you can tell, I have it pulled back here in these photos! I think if the layers grow just a bit, it will frame my face a little better.
Enjoy the sun if you have it where you are! I am!

Here we go again with these dastardly boyfriend jeans. I can't say I hate them here in this outfit. So...the secret for me and my pear shape means I need heels when wearing boyfriend jeans. Alright, allllright. Got it.

Saturday Happenings
Top: Cato, Skirt: Vintage, Wedges: Steve Madden, Brooches: Vintage
Saturdays give me the chance to twist Brian's arm into taking some pictures for me! Which he is always more than happy to do :) The pictures are always better when you don't have to run back and forth between the camera and posing for the shot. Plus he always does such a good job!
We stopped by Lake Eden to grab some nice photos by the lake and stumbled upon this cute little overflow waterfall. After this we were off to the grocery store and hardware store. We came home with loads and loads of groceries only to find that our refrigerator was broken! We frantically got things into coolers and Brian worked on getting us a fridge he had in the basement of his condo that he is renting. Thank the Lord!
Photos by Brian - thanks sweets :)

Merry Early Christmas To ME
This is going to be one of those shameless, shallow posts that focuses on the fact that my new Steve Madden boots finally arrived. Five days later than I expected. It was torture. Pure torture waiting on them to get here. Now they're here! Can you see the extreme happiness going on here?!
I wore this little super comfy comfy outfit to work on Friday. I could probably wear leggings and a tunic almost every day. Way more delightful than plain ol' jeans. These leggings and I have been through a lot. They have seen their fare share of sweater tunics, flowy tunics, high heel sandals and booties. Boy - they sure have grown on me. Not literally grown on me - I can still take them off.
So while I am posting this most amazing post (right?) the sky just got finished dumping some freezing rain on us. Not too much, just enough to make it a little worrisome to travel, maybe. But I don't have to go anywhere or do anything! Yay! Saturdays are definitely better than Mondays. And black olives. Blech!

Happy Saturday! Going to head over to Here's Looking at Me Kid to check out her DIY post on paper snowflakes!!!!
