Spring Neutrals Girl

I am finally able to enjoy some of my lighter weight pants and shoes without socks this week! Wow! Spring is here! All of my flowering trees in the yard are in full bloom. I went to Lowe's over the weekend and got lots of lovely little blooming plants. It makes me so happy to see them when I drive up or look out my kitchen window. Ahhh...this is my time of year. 

I love this outfit that I pulled together from h&m recently. It's a really bad thing - or a really good thing - that I now have an h&m just a few miles from my house. Uh oh.

eShakti Girl {Product Review}

I definitely jumped out of my seat with excitement when eShakti contacted me and asked if I would like a custom made clothing item from them. YES PLEASE! I've seen other bloggers enjoy their Eshakti pieces and I am glad I got invited to eat at that lunch table! Ha! Let me tell you; choosing what I wanted was the hardest. They have so many choices! Dresses, skirts, tops...I was so excited! After much deliberation I decided against a dress and went with these pants so I could use them throughout the fall with ease. There were only two options for pants so I kind of felt like I was unearthing a treasure. I was not disappointed with my choice! 

What makes eShakti so special is you give them your measurements when you order so your garment is CUSTOM MADE for your body! I liked the fit of my pants. They are meant to be slouchy so I was ok with the roomy fit. Although I do believe they could be a bit slimmer in the thigh and I would be more comfortable with that. I chose my hip shape as "curvy" which I am but I think that caused it to have too much room in the hips. I love the pattern and the high waist. The length is perfect to wear with heels. If I wear them with flats they are just a tad too long. If you choose to order these and want to wear with flats, I would take your measurement and subtract an inch or two. 

I am in love with the pattern! I chose to pair it with white right now because the weather was gorgeous and still slightly warm and I could get away with this sheer top. I have a navy sweater that is just waiting to be paired with these bad boys for the winter! Isn't the pattern gorgeous?

They are super comfy and the fabric is sturdy. It isn't flimsy and see through. I got lots of compliments on these! The pockets are roomy and usable. You can opt to have no pockets but I love them. The drawstring is long and doesn't slip through the openings. I can't really find a negative about the construction or fabric! If you are looking for a more closer fitting trouser pants then choose slim or average for your hip shape.

Overall I am ecstatic about my eShakti pants! They are such a welcomed breath of fresh air to my wardrobe! I love that I can pair them with darker colors for the winter. Comfy navy sweater....brown boots...chunky scarf! Yes! Oh and since we're talking about the future, next summer they are getting a crop top paired with them for sure.

Forgotten Summer Girl

I found these forgotten photos buried underneath other photos of the summer. This is a seersucker dress and it reminds me of deep southern lawyers sweating in the Mississippi heat - ok, that's just because I've watched too much Matlock or seen O Brother Where Art Thou too many times. It just screams Charleston to me which can only mean that I need a beach trip before it gets cold. Right?

On the Coast Girl

Our annual beach trip is never complete without a trip to the Cherry Grove Pier. We always get a family photo here. But guess what? When I got home and downloaded all the photos I cannot seem to find the one of us all together. I don't know if it somehow got deleted from the card when I let my son use the camera for a little while or if the card spazzed out. I was having trouble with the memory card so that might be it. Ugh. 

Now about this dress. I am not a fan of the hi-lo dress. Had this not been a dress for zero dollars and completely free, I would've definitely passed on it. But since it was not costing me a dime I thought I would give it a try. I figured the beach would be a great place to wear something strapless and ruffled. It was. It fit right in. I still don't know about the mullet cut dress. I just don't feel great in it. I'll keep this guy around though because it's white and I love white. It came with a built in slip and that makes me happy too.

There is no need at all in trying to do my hair when I am at the beach. It stayed pulled back 24/7. I added some red lipstick to this outfit to give it a little bit of pop and to give it a little more dressier feel.

Hurry Up Girl

I guess I realized that if I want to wear any last remnants of summer outfits I better hurry up and do it now! So I chose something more springy to wear today so I could feel like I am making some headway. 

 

Crisp Accessories Girl

Giving the crisp, white accessories thing a go. I picked these sunglasses up on a Dollar Tree bonanza shopping trip with my mom on Saturday. For a dollar you can give your face a makeover! My first impulse with the white clutch was, of course, paint it! But I am fighting the urge. Especially after the neon drama. I don't know, maybe after I get tired of it being all white I will do some stripes. Maybe.
