Watercolor Aztec Girl

Outfit details:
Tank: Target (similar)
Tunic & Leggings: Walmart
Boots: Seychelles

Maybe I've got spring fever or something because I dipped into my tank top drawer and saw this bright top and just had to wear it. I added some orange beads and a long tunic underneath so as to not be scandalous in my leggings.

Have a happy week everyone!

Saturday Afternoon Girl

Jumpsuit: Forever 21, Sandals: can't remember

Riding back home after a birthday party on Saturday...this field was so peaceful and full of aromatic honeysuckle. We had to buy a bar of honeysuckle soap because we are so infatuated with the smell.

San Francisco Girl

Sorry for the hiatus here! I was lucky enough to be able to tag along on a business trip that my husband took to San Francisco. It was a bucket list item for me to be on the west coast. To "touch" all the sides of the U.S. I've been to the east coast too many times to count and I've been to the Gulf of Mexico. So the west coast was the only one left! I guess I should the Canadian border is next. Yep. I'm a geek. What can I say.

I really enjoyed my time in San Francisco. I have tons of photos I want to share. I did survive with my broken wrist and my bumbling cast/arm splint and my knee brace which you can kinda see under my jeans in the photo up above. It was awkward at times on the plane and in tight places but all in all it was ok. I just knew I was going to take more time getting out of tight spots and no one yelled at me to hurry up so that was good! Ha!

We took some photos on our way to dinner Sunday night. It was so windy as was the whole trip. I would say that is my least favorite part about the city. The wind. But the Golden Gate Bridge made up for it!

Here's the wind!

So we went around the corner for better photos

And this little lady; my favorite part of San Francisco.

Mother's Day Girl

Dress: Roses (similar), Wedges: Modcloth (similar Modcloth), Strawberry Earrings: Vintage

I thought about taking my arm splint off to make the photos a little nicer but then I thought - nope! This is me now! Arm splint an all! Plus, just in case anyone else is out there that wonders what to wear with an arm cast...here ya go!

Pale Palette Girl

Outfit: Thrifted, Boots: Steve Madden

Even though it is October, I am still enjoying wearing pastels. But I would love to find a deep burgundy sweater to wear with this skirt. That would kick it into fall!

Most Interesting Girl

Top: Bitten, Dress (worn as a skirt): some forgotten head shop, Sandals: Aldo, Belt: forgotten as well

This is the most interesting outfit I have worn in the past two weeks. It felt pretty monumental. I had pink eye for about a week and a half and felt relief finally this past weekend. So I have not been much on the picture taking aspect of life. I'm still not wearing any eye makeup because I refuse to buy any new stuff until I finish my prescription eye drops. If there is one thing I know, it's that pink eye sucks. This is the first round of many more icky things to come from a kindergartners first year in the big house.

On a second note - this top is one of the ones from Sarah Jessica Parker's Bitten line that I wish still existed. At least in my town. I'm not sure if Bitten as whole tanked or just Steve & Barry's that carried the line. I'm to lazy to research it right now. But I sure do love this top. It was inexpensive but has really kept it's shape and color for years.

Palazzo Girl

Blouse & Palazzo Pants: Thrifted, Flower pin: ?, Heels: F21, Headband: F21
It's a shame because these pants are basically like wearing pajamas to work. Why is it a shame? Well, because I don't have more pairs in more colors. There is no rule that says you can't wear pastels in the winter time so don't be afraid to pull out the pinks and pales. Why not - pale pink matches my pale non-existant tan. If I squeeze my cheeks hard enough, I get a little pink. There you have it.

This is about the 2nd time I've worn these shoes and about the 400th time I've thought about tossing them out. They are murdering my big toes. What is up shoe maker person? Can you not allow for enough room for a big toe please? It sounds funny to say "big toe".

See the little hearts on the shirt? Oh yeah...getting into the Valentine's spirit.
