I love how a simple jumpsuit is instantly chic and stylish. As usual, I was in a rush to get out the door and go to my stepson's high school graduation and I had just gotten out of the shower with wet hair and no time for a fussy outfit. No time for fussy hair either so I went with Heidi braids. We stopped by one of the beautiful churches in downtown Asheville for some photos. I got some great pics of the hubby too so he could update his Linked In & work profiles with some professional shots. They turned out great. The architecture of this old church is just, well, grand. I need to spend more time downtown just enjoying the architecture.  I took an art class in college that focused a lot on Asheville architecture and I've never forgotten about the things I've learned. I get excited to learn the stories behind the buildings themselves. I need to rekindle that excitement!

And if you're like me, when you do get excited, you do the running man.

Riding back home after a birthday party on Saturday...this field was so peaceful and full of aromatic honeysuckle. We had to buy a bar of honeysuckle soap because we are so infatuated with the smell.

It has been one crazy week! I let my little guy take a break from Taekwondo in August so we were back in full swing this week. That means after I pick him up from school we have a few minutes before we need to race to the other side of town. We've been using that time to visit my mom and my niece that are also on that side of town. So it is a win-win but it is a little hectic. I think it all comes down to planning and organization.

We've added going to church on Wednesday nights to the mix too. Wednesday is also a Taekwondo day. Not much time to race back home, shove something down our throats that we call food and rush back down to church. It is worth it but I've got to get all the planning down to a science if it is to remain stress free.

I decided to try doing two braids on each side instead of just one. I got the idea from Katy Perry when she was on Good Morning America. Ha! Never thought I would ever copy anything from Katy Perry that's for sure.

The hubs told me I looked Egyptian on our date night. If Cleopatra ever went to a disco, I think she would've worn this jumpsuit.

Jumpsuits!! Pros: lightweight, full coverage, fun prints. Cons: going to the bathroom takes forever.

I had lots of fun wearing this! It was a blast. You either love these things or you hate them. But the response I got was really positive. I think most people are intrigued. And for as cheap as this was it doesn't really matter if you never wear it again. Actually, it will probably fall apart before I wear it as much as I would like. I also love how the legs have elastic bands so you can pull the legs as high or as low as you want to go! Limbo!

Rainy Day Jumper

Stacey of Goodwill Huntingg made me look at my jumpsuit a little differently. I hadn't really thought about a way to style it for the fall but after seeing her wear her thrifted find with heel booties and a thick belt, I decided to give it a try too. I love the crazy pattern on this jumpsuit! Also, navy is so classic and I feel that helps ground this piece a little bit and keep it from being too obnoxious. My favorite go to cardigan for fall is my creme one with the lace back. It keeps it from being just a boring cardigan when you get the lace peek on the back. The rainy day flattened my hair to pieces, but it was good to get some rain. Hope you guys had a great Monday!
