Black Cherry Sparkle

I've been battling a yucky cold since Friday. Today is the first day I am feeling somewhat better. I thought I would try to make some part of myself presentable and decided to do some plum colored nails. With a splash of sparkles!

I did a base coat, then two coats of Black Cherry, then with a cosmetic sponge I dabbed on Night Prowl (sparkleness), and finished with a Super Shiney topcoat. Lastly, I put some Solar Oil on my cuticles.

I may have a stuffy nose and sore throat but my nails look cute!

Tis the Season

I have been dreaming about a little moto jacket in a soft brown color. I think #1 is the one I can actually have while I can only dream about #4.

Braided Girl

Sweater & Pants: Thrifted, Blouse: Target, Mocs: Minnetonka

Partially successful at a side braid today. Some of the elements that makes it successful are bangs and beach waves. That way it looks purposefully messy.

 

Life Lately

 I don't really like this manicure. Toothpicks are not working for me to make straight lines. I need a fine brush. This ended up looking like Team USA gymnastics uniform. FAIL.

I'm just so dang proud of him whatever he wrote.

Most Interesting Girl

This is the most interesting outfit I have worn in the past two weeks. It felt pretty monumental. I had pink eye for about a week and a half and felt relief finally this past weekend. So I have not been much on the picture taking aspect of life. I'm still not wearing any eye makeup because I refuse to buy any new stuff until I finish my prescription eye drops. If there is one thing I know, it's that pink eye sucks. This is the first round of many more icky things to come from a kindergartners first year in the big house.

On a second note - this top is one of the ones from Sarah Jessica Parker's Bitten line that I wish still existed. At least in my town. I'm not sure if Bitten as whole tanked or just Steve & Barry's that carried the line. I'm to lazy to research it right now. But I sure do love this top. It was inexpensive but has really kept it's shape and color for years. 

Fashion Ramblings

So when I saw Gunnar on Project Runway with his flannel scarf I decided I needed one too. I haven't done too much digging around the old internets but I think this could be one of those things you could easily do a DIY on. But - with my mood of "easy is better" - I will probably succumb to an ebay purchase. Plus I don't want it to look homemade. I want it to be a lighter flannel fabric. RAMBLING. Anyway, here's Gunnar in all his glory:

To soothe the savage beast, I created a little wish list. I got distracted by fringe boots so I threw those in there too.
