Product Review {Kiss Nail Artist}

Kiss Nail Artist Paint and Stencil Kit was the second item I got in my badge winner package from Kiss Nails. On my first go I used the Impress-On manicure from Broadway Nails. I liked it but always feel like I want to pick off anything that is glued down to my nail. That's just me. And I'm weird. I did think the Impress-On's would be great for an event or a night out. No drying time was awesome.

This time, I am going to use this paint and stencil kit. This is exciting! I like this idea. Since my last nail post was pretty wild, I am going with a more simple nail this time.

Lots of designs to choose from plus 3 colors of polish with super long skinny brush tips.

It was a tough choice but I wanted to keep it simple. I decided to just add just one design and just to my ring finger.

the butterfly!

I did already have a light pink polish on all of my nails. I decided to go with white polish for the design to keep it light for spring.

I was really messy on this step. Maybe with practice I can get better! Ha!

Voila!

I don't think the stencil was salvagable for the next time. But that might have been because I was so messy with the polish application. I don't know. There are a lot more to chose from so it's probably best so I can get to all of the other designs!

Here is what the polish brush looks like. You do need to make sure not a whole lot of polish is on the end of the brush or it will over spill your stencil.

Of course I had to take it to the next level. I added a little bit of the silver to the wings and some of the black to the little antenna.

Cute! I will definitely be trying the other stencils! I love this. I cannot free hand these kinds of things or come up with new ideas! Ha! The stencil does all the work for you. You can always use a toothpick for other polishes if you don't want to be bound to just the 3 polishes that are included.

Bits of Love

Me on the left, my son on the right. Yes, I realize I sent my kid to preschool with that "haircut". And I also realize that someone dressed me like a boy for a photo shoot. Thanks mom :)

the rest of the nails, while they lasted...and part of a cat. This manicure didn't last long. I couldn't stop picking at the hearts. I popped them all of in church.
 Ah well.

Candy Corn Nails

This is "hands down" my most favorite nail art to date. I love it! My five year old saw it and said "Candy Corn!" So I knew I was successful :)

October Nails

Not really sure what you can call this one. Wavy, globby, splat...just playing around and came up with this.

Life Lately

I don't really like this manicure. Toothpicks are not working for me to make straight lines. I need a fine brush. This ended up looking like Team USA gymnastics uniform. FAIL.

On a woolier note,

Fall is here!

And my 5 year old brought this home

If you have on your deciphering glasses you can tell that says I go to the school. Or I pity the po fool. Or I pot to the stool.

I'm just so dang proud of him whatever he wrote.

Flowers and Lace Nails

I have fallen into the rabbit hole of nail art. It's addictive. Beware!

I picked up this box of nail strips at CVS for $6.49. You get two designs. One is the lace and flower and one is a lace and leopard print.

It was so easy!!! I put them all on while we were watching Drive. Which, by the way, was good but slow? weird? But I like weird, I mean one of my favorite movies was Fargo. It was like a boring weird. I don't know. Off topic.

I did have a pair of small scissor that I used to trim them down once I stuck them on my nail. But the strips themselves fit my nail very well. I didn't have to trim by the cuticles. You can if you need to. I did that on one because I wanted the design on that particular strip on a smaller finger. An idea on the packaging was cutting parts of the stickers out to put on top of solid nail polish. Like a flower on your ring finger or something. Just in case you don't want an all over sticker fest like me.

Seriously easy fun times. And the best thing? No drying time. No clean up. No messy polish. This may just end up being the new way for any kind of color on my nails. Please ignore the icky cuticles. Skippy knows I'm working on it :)
