Game Day Girl

The hospital the hubs works for had a vendor sponsored event at the Clemson vs. NC State game on Saturday. We decided to make the trek down even though Brian was sick with a nasty head cold. I still had some remnants of mine but I definitely was over the worst of it. But he suffered through! It was a beautiful day and I walked around in short sleeves most of the time until the sun went behind the stadium. Clemson beat the stuffing out of State so all in all it was a great day! I just wish my best little cousin would've been with me - I missed Emily!

Brian and I went to the Screen Door at lunch for a stroll. The Screen Door is kind of an indoor antique mall with tons and tons of vintage goodies and homemade goodies and garden goodies. Basically lots of goodies. We went to look specifically for teeny tiny furniture that I could use in my fairy garden. It is a work in progress so I haven't taken any photos yet. I want to do a little fence, a better house, maybe a clothesline with tiny pieces of laundry...the list goes on.

Catawba Valley Girl

The 4th leg of our WNC Brewery Tour:

Brian and I took a trip to Morganton to visit Catawba Valley Brewery. I loved the Coconut Porter. Very nice. The atmosphere was probably the least favorite on the tour so far. It seemed to be a much older crowd which isn't bad it just left us feeling a bit out of place. It was air conditioned which was nice since we have been without a/c for quite a while!

4th of July Eve

Last night my son and I kicked off July with a fun little festival full of hot dogs, ice cream and the Firecracker Jazz Band which was reminiscant of 1920s New Orleans style jazz. Super fun. The type of jazz where your feet can't sit still. Your big toe can't even sit still! Thanks for being my date, little man!

Chocolate torte and cinnamon ice cream. I didn't think the flavors went together well but they were each spectacular on their own. I'm sure the chef is so excited that I am available for opinions anytime. You're welcome.
