My son drew the design and I carved it! Ha!

Outfit: Thrifted, Boots: Dan Post
I love it when an entire outfit is thrifted. I picked these three items up at different times and at different thrift stores but I knew the colors would come together. I love this little cropped sweatshirt. I almost didn't get it but I went back and grabbed it before I left the store. I'm glad I did.

Outfit: Thrifted, Boots: DIY
The hubs and I checked out a new roasting company near the house. Oh - it was so delicious. We're thinking about going back and buying some beans. We sipped on coffee and munched on Smore's scones. Why have I never heard of a Smore's scone! Gracious it was good.
I picked up these faux leather leggings at the thrift shop a couple of months ago and I've been waiting for some cooler weather to try them out. Turned out, they are a bit too big. I figured since they were leggings it would work out but they're too big in the waist and too big at the ankle. If I was a fabulous sewer I could fix them. But I've decided that I don't keep a pile of "to be fixed" clothes because it never happens. It just ends up being a cluttered part of the bedroom or the closet and I just can't stand it anymore. So - I'll be listing these on ebay soon. They really are nice and I know they can make some gal out there happy!
These boots used to be knee high. I cut them off and added some faux fur. Now they look like I'm wearing squirrels on my ankles.
Pet the squirrels...
What he wore!

Today is my Friday! Brian and I are taking tomorrow off so we can relax, chill and have no resposibilities. Ok, so we will still have to be responsible but we're going to pretend like we're not. So what was the biggest decision to make for our Friday off? Where to eat lunch, of course. What kind of food do we want to eat? Mexican? Indian? Cracker Barrel breakfast mid-day? Oh....the choices.
Right now is the perfect time for chili, soup and hearty meals. But I don't want to bust the buttons on my flannel so I found a few recipes from two of my most favorite internet chefs.
LaaLoosh has mouthwatering recipes that look really easy to make. I mean - I've always wondered what to do with those little acorn squash! Plus, she has all the nutrition information for each recipe and even the weight watcher points. YES!! (I've linked all photos and recipes back to the websites)
This is her "Spicy Ground Pork Acorn Squash"
Don't those look delish?!
Skinnytaste is another website that I drool over constantly. She includes all nutritional information AND weight watcher points as well. I have made her Buffalo Turkey Burgers (last night in fact) and they are so so so good.
Look at this beauty: Roasted Pumpkin Sage Soup!

Levis Shirt: best thing I've thrifted in my entire life, Pants: Eddie Bauer, Shoes: Spring Step (gift from hubs)
Man oh man am I excited that I get to wear this Levi's shirt for another round of cold weather. This shirt fits perfectly, it's comfy and it keeps me warm. Three-peat! Just look at how happy I am:
Hubs came home with a pair of shoes that I have been drooling over
thanks hubby for taking my pics :)
This is "hands down" my most favorite nail art to date. I love it! My five year old saw it and said "Candy Corn!" So I knew I was successful :)
Outfit: Thrifted, Shoes: TomMcAnn
I believe my autumn depression is officially over. I've not felt one bit sad that fall is here this year. I used to dread it so much. Even the scents of fall in the air would make me a little nauseaous. I have really been working on myself lately from the inside out. I've been a part of a great group of men and ladies at one of my local churches for the past 3 months or so. I love the energy there. I know it has changed my life. Of course, God has had His hand in all of it as well. Honestly, I don't think I have ever been happier. WHA??? I know right?! Good stuff. I hope all of ya'll are doing good too. Cyber hug :)
What HE wore! Isn't he the cutest thing ever?
