Bat Girl

I hope you guys had a great Halloween!
I went as a bat this year and I loved it. I think I have mentioned before that my mother in law is a very talented costume maker for the local theater here in town so she has ten million (only a slight exaggeration) costumes to choose from for Halloween! Exciting!

Candy Corn Nails

This is "hands down" my most favorite nail art to date. I love it! My five year old saw it and said "Candy Corn!" So I knew I was successful :)

DIY: Haunted House

I discovered an amazing little DIY over at Dollar Store Crafts where she took an old Christmas village house and turn it into a dark and creepy haunted house. I happened to be at the Goodwill (just happened to be there) on Saturday and sure enough, there were three discarded Christmas village houses that I knew would be perfect for our project. I knew that my son would really like this craft too so I grabbed all three of them. That way he could go wild on his and I could be more crafty with mine. (Control issues!)

Here was one of the houses pre-dark and stormy:

And wow was I excited at the final result!!!

A real spooky house to add to the haunting effect of the rest of the house...more on that later!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Spooky Treats

I adapted a recipe that was on the side of the Nilla Wafers box to fit into a Halloween theme. What is it with me and Nilla Wafer recipes?

These are YUMMY. I got a lot of great feedback from the nibblers.

If you want to try it, there is a link to the recipe at the bottom. The only thing I changed was rolling the "sandwiches" in the sprinkles instead of putting a dab of cool whip on top and then sprinkles on top. But you could do both! The recipe makes a ton - a lot more than what I have pictured here. This was just our little family portion. The others I took to a soup and sammies feast at church. They were a hit!
