Windowpane Girl

This print is called windowpane and it is definitely one of my favorite prints. It might just be my favorite print!

Windowpane is a type of plaid and this is about the 3rd appearance of plaid on this blog in the last few days! There's a trend going on here! In case you are wondering about the boot socks these do not go all the way down to my feet. They are just the tops of some older socks that I hacked in two. Here's the DIY on them!

Outfit details:
Button down shirt: H&M (in stores now)
Leggings: H&M (last season)
Boots; Eddie Bauer (few years ago)
Boots Socks: DIY

Last of the Leaves Girl

Cardigan: Eddie Bauer (similar only $18.80!), Dress: Asos via Ebay (similar), Boots: Eddie Bauer (similar), Belt: Thrifted

I shot these photos back when there were still some beautiful, vibrant, leaves on the trees. They are long gone now! All that is left is a lot of raking. A lot of raking.

Dinner and a Show Girl

Sweater: Thrifted, (similar) Dress (worn as skirt): Modcloth (similar), Tights: Walmart, Boots: Eddie Bauer (similar), Necklace: Dollar Store (similar)

The hubs and I had a chance to go to The Cove (Billy Graham's Training Center) to have dinner and see Brandon Heath in concert. The food was good, not out of this world, but the concert was perfect. Very intimate, very sweet. He was talking about his grandad and how he was a good man and he teared up, made ME tear up because that is the same way I feel about my grandfather. Paw is what we all called him and he was a big ole sweetheart. He called his wife, my granny, Goldilocks. Bless it. He loved to fish and he would take us kids down to the lake a lot. I miss that lake and I miss him. I do have lots and lots of good memories though. Brandon's video is at the end of this post if you want to get all teared up about your own grandad!

Back in Braids Girl

Cardigan: Kohls, Tunic: Modcloth, Jeans: Thrifted, Boots: Eddie Bauer

I am still obsessed with braids. I want to take about 4 inches off of my hair but I would miss the braiding I think. I have learned via you tube how to cut my own hair and I came very very close last week to chopping it off. Then I wore these braids and now I'm kind of thinking of just trimming it. Whatever I decide it needs something. I am finding more and more grays every day too. Ugh. I'm not devasated. Just annoyed. I do a non permanent dye every now and then. Mainly because I didn't like the way I got my hair highlighted the last time I got it done. But it helps with the grays too. It just washes out after about a month. I'm thinking if I went back to highlights then the gray can blend in with the blonde. Oh decisions decision! Ha!

The Basics Girl

Cardigan: Royal Robbins, Tunic: Thrifted, Elle, Leggings: Wally world, Boots: Eddie Bauer, Socks: Ebay

I am living in leggings, long tops and/or sweaters. Ahhh....so comfy. I did a sneak peak into Old Navy today which I really don't want to buy from because their stuff just falls apart after a year but man oh man did they have some cute stuff. Heeeellp! Mass marketing works on me every time! I saw lots and lots of tunics and long sweaters that would work so well over my comfy leggings. If I do get any Christmas money I may let myself just get one or two things. Ugh. I don't know. I don't need anymore clothes!!! It's a dangerously slippery slope.

I really need to do something different with Christmas money like go get a facial or a massage...or a blog redesign. I'm just not feeling the way my blog looks anymore and I think it's time for a change. Yeah, I like that idea. I will just have to stay away from the cheap thrill stores!

A Moment Not Wasted Girl

Top: Kmart, Dress: Thrifted NY&Co, Socks: Target, Boots: Eddie Bauer

As usual, this is a top that I didn't get into rotation this summer but I really love it. For some reason I just do not wear it as much as I should or could. It's adorable! Maybe it is because it is prone to becoming really wrinkly at the drop of a hat. I don't know. But I looked for something in my fall clothes that I could pair it up with and bingo! This little dress worked perfectly. Hurray that it is still warm enough to go without tights!!!

Hello McFly Girl

Vest: Northface, Sweater: Modcloth, Tanks: NY&Co, Leggings: Kmart (hate em') Boots: Eddie Bauer

What's with the Life Preserver?

Anyhoo, bought these leggings at Kmart. I hate them. They are shiny. I just want denim like leggings. Not shiny leggings. Ugh.
