October Nails

Not really sure what you can call this one. Wavy, globby, splat...just playing around and came up with this.

Setting Sun Girl

Very rarely do I get a chance to take photos with the sun setting. I just so happened to have a chance to snag some sweet sun today. Yes, here are my green pants again. I sure do love these pants!

Other ways I've worn the mean green pants

Autumn Breeze Girl

Outfit: Eddie Bauer, Lace ups & Necklace: Modcloth

A nice crisp autumn breeze accompanied us at the Farmer's Market while we looked at all the pumpkins and the funky gourds. Gourds are like the autumn ugly duckling. They are so weird and strange that they end up being beautiful. I liked all the little painted pumpkins too. My son loved the little one that had the witch face on it. You can see it in the far right of the photo above.
Well, life lately is hectic. I haven't been able to blog quite as much as I used to because I'm trying to learn how to become a mom to a kindergartner. It's been a change. I've been slowly getting used to it and I think we are in a good rhythm now. Getting little man up before the sun, getting teeth brushed, packing a snack...all these things I've never had to do before. And the fact that he is growing up. I feel like I need to hold onto each little minute but it is all going by so fast.

Braids Revisted

Getting the urge to do some braids after looking at all of these snapshots of how I wore them in the past.

Here is my first attempt in December 2010

...And in October 2011

...Summah time in August 2012

...and getting ready for my birthday in August 2012

Cold Snap Girl

Jacket: Thrifted, Top: ?, Scarf: JCP, Leggings: Dollar Store, Boots: Ebay

Brrr! Chilly! I dressed in lots of layers to beat the chill. Fall is usually not my favorite time of year but for some reason this year I am really excited. I am enjoying the colors of the leaves and the chance to wear boots too!

Spooky Treats

I adapted a recipe that was on the side of the Nilla Wafers box to fit into a Halloween theme. What is it with me and Nilla Wafer recipes?

These are YUMMY. I got a lot of great feedback from the nibblers.

If you want to try it, there is a link to the recipe at the bottom. The only thing I changed was rolling the "sandwiches" in the sprinkles instead of putting a dab of cool whip on top and then sprinkles on top. But you could do both! The recipe makes a ton - a lot more than what I have pictured here. This was just our little family portion. The others I took to a soup and sammies feast at church. They were a hit!
