Finally!

I can upload pictures again! Praise be. Turns out I was out of storage space for photos. Who knew? Blah blah, blah Google and blogger. Sometimes I think the higher powers make it more difficult on purpose. Wanna a little cheese with that whine? Well, after all that frustration and visits to my bf Brian's house for help, I finally have resolution.
I wore this outfit to work one day and now that I look at it I think of the county fair that's going on right now. Maybe it reminds me of the tablecloths at the apple pie competition or just an apple orchard in general. I thrifted it from the Goodwill - actually passed it up one time and came back to it. It looks terrible hanging on the rack because it is really just a sack. But I love the print and of course...the polka dots in the background. The color is sweet and I paired it with my camel clogs to bring a bit of caramel apple into the mix.
Hopefully all of you guys are having more computer luck than I am this weekend and I am definitely happy to be back in the blogosphere!

Grrrr....

So apparently I'm doing something wrong (highly unlikely) or my computer or blogger, hates me today. Nothing is working!!!! Well, I take that back. I just can't upload pictures. But I will keep trying until I either I strap TNT to my computer and lite the match or run over it with my car. One or the other. In other good news, I think I found THE house today! Everything is what we want...we are just mulling it over and making sure it is what we really want. Its out of the district we are in now and that means a little bit farther of a commute. But it is the best house we have seen so far for the price. I'll keep you updated. On the house and the state of my computer.

This is a test

A test to see if I can take a long skirt, cut it off and enjoy it. I did! I had not finished the hem all the way when I took these photos but I really wanted to see what it would look like. I adore this fabric. And I am enjoying the way it will work into the fall as well. I am a sucker for pink and florals so when I saw this little beauty at the Goodwill I thought "awww..you were waiting for me"! Well, I try not to talk to my clothes but sometimes you can't help it. Ok...maybe that's just me. Oops... :) I'm also trying to work on some sort of a fabric necklace with the rest of the fabric scraps because I want to see it more often! Maybe a throw pillow...napkin or two. Who knows.

The weather has been absolutely gorgeous here! Its actually nice enough to ride with the windows down and your skin not melting to the seat of the car. That's always a good thing, ya know.

Banana Pants

I was hesitant at first because I looked in the mirror and thought I resembled a banana a little too much. The brown shoes...the green shirt. I might have well been hanging on the tree. But - I went ahead with it. When I saw these pants I immediately fell in love with them because of my obsession with yellow and how it makes me feel happy. Its the same way when I walk into a room or see a house that is painted yellow. I immediately feel cheery and awake. One of my favorite houses we've looked at on this never ending house hunt we're on right now was painted yellow in the kitchen and living room. So sweet!

I started to lose the sun...but my pants took it's place :)

One of my favorite snacks is sliced bananas with peanut butter and chocolate chips sprinkled on top...hmmm...I would make those right now but I'm in dire need of a grocery store trip!

I'm Thinkin She Likes Polka Dots

I....have a lot of polka dot stuff. Ha! Its such a fun print - I can't help it you see! Black and white...navy and white...white with pink....red with white. I mean, come on. The possibilities are endless. And I haven't even added the fact that the size of the dots can change. Obsess much?

In my real world, the house hunt it getting tiresome. Every house we see is missing one thing. Sometimes two. Sometimes we walk in and almost walk right out, it's that bad. Grrrr! But I mean really, we've only been looking for about 2 months. What can I expect? It's just that my lease runs out soon on my apartment and I really don't want to sign another 6 months OR pay month to month because it gets expensive. Better luck tomorrow! It's out there...I know you are out there perfect house. In the meantime, obsess over some polka dots like yours truly!
