Late Summer Girl

A few late summer outfits will be floating around here for a few days...or weeks. I don't pack up my summer stuff until I absolutely have to! Looking around my closet I see so many things I didn't even wear this year. And about 50% of those things I want to toss in the trash - I'm tired of them! Now, this little romper number; I'll keep. Jumpsuits, rompers...still obsessed.

What did I forget when I went to the beach? My sun hat. Yep. I refused to buy one down there because I've done that twice already. Two other times I've had to buy an overpriced sun hat at a tourist trap. So I just flat out refused this time. I stayed pretty lathered up in sunscreen too.

I don't normally process my photos this much but I couldn't help it. I love how this vintage filter gives it an Arizona or desert feel. I hope you don't mind. I think it makes for some nice depth in the picture.

More comfortable? Well, that is in reference to the fact that I am wearing shorts here. You will rarely see me in shorts but I am trying to embrace my shape, my legs and my thighs with a little more love. Sure they are not the thighs of my teenage self but they are mine and they are in good working order! I need to be thankful. Of course black shorts are very forgiving and keep it on the dressier side. I've accepted that I have cellulite and it ain't going anywhere. I think these black shorts are at a comfortable length for me. I did cut off a pair of jeans recently and I feel like they are just a little too short. I find myself just a little too wiggly in them which is sure sign that they are too short. If you are tugging at them and wishing they would pull down a little bit, then they're too short. Bummer.

Wooly Sock Girl

I'm getting a little braver with the shorts in the winter time thing. Especially with wool socks because it is nice and cozy. Like a little heater on my legs. On our way back from grabbing a bite to eat we ended up at CVS shopping for about for what seemed like forever. I love the drug store and usually end up going way overboard. I did buy some fun glitter nail polish and finally got some bronzer so I can at least try to be one shade darker than Casper.

Keeping Cool

Looking for another way to stay cool today. This whole outfit was thrifted - yay! Total cost was about $15. I was so excited to piece it together. Stay cool out there everyone!

Saturday

I woke up and made blueberry strusel muffins and a big pot of coffee that I lazily drank until the afternoon. These shorts are a classic dark navy and they reminded me of my blueberry muffin breakfast! I love these shorts! I could wear them every day. I did get a lot of things done today. We wrapped up the evening visiting some friends and bringing the dog for a doggie play date. It was a great Saturday.
