Refurbished Girl

Cardigan: Thrifted Eddie Bauer, Jeans: Thrifted, Tank: Thrifted, Boots: Steve Madden, Scarf: Target

I was over the moon when I purchased these Steve Madden boots back in 2010 but they have been very neglected as of late. They had some stains on them and just general lackluster that happens with lighter colored shoes. I grabbed some leather conditioner and tried to clean the spots. It did clean the stains, but it darkened the leather. So I had to wipe down the whole entire boot. Which turned out surprisingly well! I feel like I have a new pair boots! When life hands you leather conditioner...

I have been inspired recently about all the messy braids making the way around Pinterest and those krazy Kardashians girls. I thought I would dress up my ponytail a little bit today and give it a try. I think if I didn't have as many layers it would've looked even better.

Can't Complain Girl

Cardigan: Thrifted Eddie Bauer, Top: Thrifted, Scarf: ?good question...., Jeggings: Walmart, Socks: stole from hubby, Boots: L.L. Bean

Things are going pretty well here on the the ole home front. I really can't complain. I have all of my Christmas shopping done. I have some things I need to make for family but I need to do that closer to Christmas. It feels good to be done with shopping for the kids. I can breath a little easier.

I also can't complain about my waterproof gumboots. They have been an absolute lifesaver this season. They keep my feet warm and dry. Now that I am stealing my hubby's socks I can turn the clock back to 1995 and wear my socks on the outside of my pants. All I need is a cup of chamomile tea, a cabin and some snow and we could film a commercial.

First Official Girl

Jacket: BB Dakota, Sweater & Top: Eddie Bauer, Jeans: Walmart, Boots: Keen "Bern Baby Bern"

You know I have never actually worn an official sock bun until this day. I've always thought, nah, I don't need it. I'll just twist my hair around in a twisty mess. I took the plunge into what I should've been doing the whole time and I am highly satisfied. So easy! And it looks so much more polished than my messy twist.

Iced Coffee Girl

Sweater: Eddie Bauer, Top: Urban Outfitters, Jeans: Thrifted Eddie Bauer, Gumboots: LL Bean

I've been pouring the leftover coffee from the coffee pot each morning and storing it in the fridge so I can have iced coffee later on in the day. I add some flavored creamer to it (I just got some pumpkin spice so I can join the cliched world of fall) and thanks to the trusty internets I make sure that the ice cubes I put in are made from coffee. It really makes for a tasty iced coffee!! It's not as sweet as the original version but I am ok with that.

I bought that little ice cube tray to make bath bombs but for the life of me I failed at every attempt. So that is the only ice cube tray I have! Palm trees in October. Yay!
