I know I have been the queen of casual lately. Yes. I have. I really just enjoy being comfortable. I still have my frilly things - they do call out to me. Probably next week I will force myself to get dolled up for a day or so. I know this is major cheese factor but I want to see the last Twilight. I know! I know! Slap me now. But I'm not a diehard. I will probably wait until it comes out on dvd. Twilight seems pretty tame compared to True Blood. We're on a True Blood hiatus right now since we don't have HBO. True Blood is my favorite vamp series by far. But I will have to wait to catch up on that. Right now I have Sons of Anarchy to catch up on and American Horror Story to keep me busy.

Saturday Haircuts Girl

An easy going Saturday afternoon outfit with lots of layers for a chilly wind but warm sunshine. My little boy and I went to see Wreck-It-Ralph around lunchtime and then we grabbed some frozen yogurt afterwards. The yogurt treat was just a ploy to get him to get a haircut. I don't know why he hates it so much - he ends up doing really well. I miss when his head used to be full of blonde curls.

Textured Girl

Outfit: Thrifted, Tights: Ebay, Shoes: Forever21

Forever21 shoes typically don't feel very nice to walk in. I don't think that's a big secret - they are cheap and you get what you pay for. I put some cushy soles in these so they would be more bearable. It has been a few weeks since I wore heels! I've been living the easy life. Since I dug out all my winter clothes I started finding things deep in the pile that I hadn't seen in a while. It kind of made me want to get dolled up. I have never worn this skirt before but it's been hanging out in my wardrobe forever. I thought it deserved to see the light of day! It has such a wonderful texture to it.

I really think a muted, mustard colored sweater would really bring out the velvet flowers in the skirt. I'll have to keep that in my memory bank.

Wearing Winter White

I do love, love, love wearing off white in winter. It just feels so crisp. It's a bit more uplifting than having to choose from just the darker shades in my closet. Really, though, I have gotten so much more brave wtih my wardrobe that I really don't follow many fashion rules anymore. If I want to wear bright pink in the dead of winter - I wear it!

I love it when an entire outfit is thrifted. I picked these three items up at different times and at different thrift stores but I knew the colors would come together. I love this little cropped sweatshirt. I almost didn't get it but I went back and grabbed it before I left the store. I'm glad I did.
