Wrapped in Ribbon Girl

Not until I saw these heels on another blogger did I realize that the weird little flap thing around the back was for ribbon to go through. Brilliant! When I thrifted them the ribbon was gone. On closer inspection - it looks like it was cut off. Well, of course you know what that meant. Road Trip! A trip to the craft store to choose the ideal color for these navy espadrilles. I chose this beautiful kelly green (my favorite color of all time) AND a red with white polka dots for those spunky days. Interchangeable ribbon shoes. A cheap way to make a new pair of shoes each time. YES please.

I feel more than blessed that I discovered this kitschy little strawberry print tank in a vintage shop one day. I love it. People get a kick out of it too. Not long after I wore this, I found strawberry earrings at the flea market. Can the world get any better?

Getaway

We are headed to the lake this weekend with some friends and I can. not. wait. Just to get out of town is going to be the best part. I have really been feeling that itch lately to take off and get the heck outta dodge. Some new scenery, ya know? Ever get that feeling? I'm sure - if you're human you do. It's easy to get into a daily routine and then when the weekend comes try to cram as much stuff as you can into it so you can feel productive. Pulling hair out!!!
Sometimes - it feels good just to take off down the road and let the old homstead eat your dust.

DIY: Infused Oil

I'm finally growing lavender in garden and now I get to reap the rewards. I had been letting this stalk dry out for a week or so. I really hadn't planned on mixing it with my body oil but I thought - what the heck. The last time I infused herbs was...well...I can't remember when. 

Hopefully in a couple of weeks I will have some lavender oil to rub on my wrists.

Mint Green Girl

Oh how I have wanted mint green in my wardrobe! I finally got it on Mother's Day. My hubby got me this mint green purse after I sent him a picture AND sent him the link online. He said when he went to the store and asked the assistant she said they didn't have one. He even had the item number but it wasn't coming up on their computer. Thankfully, hubby found it on his own. The last one left. Whew.

Style Watch Inspiration: Olivia Wilde

When I caught a glimpse of Olivia Wilde in head to toe neutrals it reminded me of a dress I haven't worn in ages. Almost chucked it out twice over the last year or so. It still isn't one of my favorites but it was an easy dress to throw on and head out the door.
