Mini Bathroom Makeover from Target

Before you judge...our main bath needs a complete gut and redesign (hello gold toilet and shower!) but until that day comes I have to make the best with what I've got.

When we bought the house it was covered in hideous wallpaper as old circa 1980s houses usually are. We peeled that ick off and painted it a shade of green that I slowly grew to hate. Last year I painted all of the walls and trim a glossy white, scraped all of the popcorn off the ceiling (back breaking work!) and gave it a fresh coat of white paint.

Last week I saw this quirky cactus shower curtain at Target and figured Why Not?! It was on sale and it makes me giggle every time I walk in the bathroom. Plus the price was great for it being a fabric curtain. I kept the towels and the bath mat simple and let the curtain hold center stage.

I grabbed these little succulents from the Dollar Bin area.

Prices may change because it was on sale the day I went. Also, the price IN store was about $3 more. Sometimes it is cheaper to buy online and then pick it up. I could've done that but I wanted to FEEL the fabric of the curtain first. I also wanted to match up the rug in person.

I picked up this long sleeve tunic with cute little elbow patches from Amazon over Christmas for $19.99. It's actually a pretty good top so I wanted to share.

I've got a video review over on Instagram. It comes in 7 colors with one of them being white with no elbow patches. I do recommend sizing up if you like your tunic tops to be on the longer side.

I love the light red color. And the green! And the white!

The leggings are from H&M and the boots were a gift from my mom a few years ago from Sears and well, Sears is no more. Make sure your leggings are always on the thicker side and are NOT see through! I think a pair of tall brown riding boots would look great with this outfit. Or a short black heeled ankle boot for a sleek look.

I got a pair of velour leggings at Christmas that I wanted to style up and share with you. I know - Velour!?! Isn't that just for grandma's? No!

The first look is sporty and cozy with a warm sweater and sneakers. The second look I attempted to dress them up a little bit but I don't think these are the ideal boots. Honestly I think a wedge ankle bootie would actually be the best but I don't have a pair of those! Darn. The last look is really just a shoe change into a more blingy fashion sneaker.

The leggings are VERY SOFT. They are a perfect length. I'm 5'4" for reference. I am wearing a Medium and it fits true to size.

The leggings are from Amazon. There are a lot of colors and not all have the two stripes on the side. Price is$18.95

My white sweater is thrifted from a local thrift shop but here is a very similar one under $40 on Amazon.

White Adidas Cloud foam Sneakers here.

My black blazer is thrifted as well! But Target has a great one right now for $35.

My Chambray Tunic is from Target. It's from a few years ago but here is one on the Target website now.

My black boots are from Walmart! Now, normally I don't get shoes at Walmart because I stopped getting cheap shoes a few years back. I've slowly built up a curated shoe army of comfy boots, Birkenstocks and sensible heels. I'm actually impressed with these Time&Tru boots though. I got them on clearance for $9.00 so I really didn't feel like I had to commit at that price! If I hate them in a year and need to consign them it won't break my heart. They are $19.97 on the website right now. You could check your local Walmart to see if they happen to still be on clearance.

My fashion sneakers are from DSW. I have had mine for a few years and I love how they can take a simple outfit and just spice it up a tad.
