1960's Mod Girl

Jacket: Forever 21, Dress: Avon, Tights: ?, Boots: Seychelles

The hubs and I went to a 60's fashion show last Friday night and it was SO much fun. I loved every minute of it. They encouraged guests to dress up in the spirit of the era. I went for a mod look with kind of a "greaser girlfriend" kick. Like the girls of the movie Cry Baby meets London mod. I saw some gals that were rockin the hippie free love look and that was cool too. I feel like that is so heavy in our town anyway that I wanted to go for something a little different. There were lots of Mad Men looks too.
My hubs put on his jeans, jean jacket (his old motorcycle jacket from high school didn't quite fit), boots and a greasy hair style! I loved it. I can't wait to see what they do next! Last year was the 80's. I missed it!

I got some pretty good height on the old teased hair. I followed Mandi's tutorial here. She made it really easy! We were in a hurry and had to snap some pictures in the kitchen! Not the most mod place to have a photo shoot but I had to document this hair! It's never been this big! Ha!

It's hard to tell with the lighting but I went with a very shimmery grey eyeshadow, a huge cat eye and an iridescent lipstick.

Here is an instagram of a makeup closeup (with rollers in!)

The photo quality is horrid but here are a few shots I took at the show.

My favorite! Love the shorts, love the hat, love the pose!

Thank you sweetie for being a dear and accompanying me so we could pretend to be judges on Project Runway :)

Appreciating the dedication you put into your website and in depth information you provide.
It's good to come across a blog every once in a while that
isn't the same unwanted rehashed material. Fantastic read!
