Mixing Prints Girl

Pinstripe Dress: Urban Outfitters; Silk Blouse: Thrifted, Wedges: Target

One of my most favorite places to take outfit photos had now been completely torn down. I really liked taking photos there because it was always deserted and made for some relaxing opportunities to take my time and try to get it just right. Sometimes I have the time to do that, sometimes I don't. I have one rule about fashion blogging and that is I never want it to become a chore or a hassle. If I don't have time then I just don't do it. If I am spending time with my family or there is a book I want to read or my favorite show (Project Runway!) is on, I don't let blogging come between me and my favorite things to do. I love to keep it fresh, happy and a wonderful hobby. My son happened to be with me on this time and he was enjoying finding weird things on the ground a picking flowers for me. :)

This was my first attempt at mixing prints. I chose to stay with the same color palette so it would be easier. Maybe I will get braver and try something a little more tricky soon.

I know fall is approaching QUICKLY but I am determined to make every last bit of warm weather last as long as possible. I am procrastinating pulling out my fall items...I just can't face the fact that summer is leaving. Boo. Hoo. I will be forced to start some transitioning, I know, especially since I seem to not have an internal heater and I freeze all the time. (I run a heater almost all day in my office). But you will see me still wearing some summer items until I am forced to call it quits. Plus I've still got some summer photos lingering that need to get on the blog too. So don't give up on me just yet! I will get to a fall wardrobe soon...if I have to.

I feel the same way about blogging. That's so cute that you had your son in toe! My boys make so much fun of me for doing outfit shots. LOL. I love your pattern mixing!
